I chose an ele shaman because they can do great damage but also heal when you need it in those tough fights.

I am a good team player, and fast learner. I also like to help with any problems guildies have

Yes

-When you are not raiding how often are you on WoW; what do you like to do when not raiding?
Pretty frequently. I just hang out with friends, work, and live life.

-What do you expect from when you join the guild?
A drama free and serious about progression guild, with a sense of humor.

-What should expect from you and other members?
Excellent teamwork, never late, and a sense of humor while being serious when necessary.

-How likely are you to get upset after a wipe? After being called out? After not making it to a raid? After a friend or yours doesn't get into a raid?
Never. I take criticism lightly and always try to learn new things.

What is your class role in raids:
My class role is sustained melee damage. Arms is currently putting out better results than fury in Dragon Soul, largely because of all the AOE.

Detail your rotation:
Charge -> Rend -> Mortal Strike -> Colossal smash (if 4PC doesn't proc) -> Overpower.
After that point it becomes a priority system which is:
Mortal Strike > Colossal Smash > Overpower > Slam. Heroic strike if above 75 rage or if inner rage is up with excess rage.

Before taking a break from WoW, I was raiding with TICKLEFIGHT of Destromath. Unfortunately most of the core members transferred to SWTOR shortly after I got back, so I've been searching for a new guild since then.

What is your raid experience within CATA?

What is the hardest fight you have participated in, why was it hard?
Probably HM 25M LK. That fight burned out a lot of people, and in the end we never got it down. Teaching people to move preemptively for defile is a near impossible task.

Tell us your Strengths and Weaknesses as a Raider.
What makes me an exceptional raider is my situational awareness and willingness to learn. I take constructive criticism very well, and am always looking for ways to improve my play. I pickup raid mechanics very quickly, and virtually never die to the same thing twice. I am able to prioritize staying alive over tunnel visioning my DPS, or staring at my recount. Additionally, I am reliable, and drama-free. I would say my only weakness is that occasionally I can get frustrated with people who cannot execute simple mechanics, but I am good at keeping these frustrations to myself.

Are you able to use Mumble?
Yes, I have used Mumble in the past and prefer it to vent. I have a working mic and headset as well.

When you are not raiding how often are you on WoW; what do you like to do when not raiding?
I'm on WoW fairly often when not raiding, depending on my homework load for the week. Usually I level alts, do old content for transmog runs / achievements or occasionally PvP.

What do you expect from when you join the guild?
A dependable raid spot, and like minded individuals to see the hard-mode content with. Mount achievements would be a plus.

What should expect from you and other members?
Reliable attendance, and solid performance. Ability to take constructive criticism, as well as not raging on other members.

How likely are you to get upset after a wipe? After being called out? After not making it to a raid? After a friend or yours doesn't get into a raid?
I generally only get upset after wipes if its my fault. I do my best not to make it possible to get called out, but if I am, then I acknowledge my faults and do my best not to repeat them. Obviously no one likes to sit, but I'm not going to gquit over it. On the same note, its nice to raid with your friends but sometimes progression deems it necessary to not.

If you have a problem with how something in the guild is run how would you deal with it?
If it was a serious problem, I would bring it up to an officer. If it was a personal issue, minor issue with another member I would just try to resolve the dispute calmly and respectfully.

Why do you want to join our guild?
You guys have excellent raid times for my schedule and seem dedicated to progression, and I would like to continue progressing through Cataclysm and eventually MoP.

I don't think I have any hats. I have some pretty awesome toques though.

-What is your class role in raids: (I play a priest for the hell of it. I am a skilled priest that shows up, doesn't bitch, kills the shit that needs killing, and enjoy it. I play both my specs well, and don't not mind playing either. Healing is enjoying if people don't suck, and dps is always fun even if others suck.)

-Detail your rotation: I do the rotation that kills shit/ or keeps people a live. Always dots up, mind flay for wings then mind blast swd repeat and all that. For heals I do what is necessary.

-Link any parses you have: (I don't have any parses... If accepted Ill just prove to you what I can do. I ran a BH with a few of you a couple days ago. Downed. )

-Current/Previous Guild(s): (No guilds of note since WoTLK, was in a guild of friends I went to college with about a year ago and we downed the WoTLK content blindfolded pretty much cause it was pathetic... We just pvped and chilled and then I quit because of life situations.)

-What is your experience within WoTLK? We downed all the early content pretty much, I don't really remember. It really wasn't very note worthy in my opinion.

-What is the hardest fight you have participated in, why was it hard? No fight is hard if people just listen and do what they are suppose too, so my hardest fight is dealing with idiots i guess... It's a game, all games are easy.

-Tell us your Strengths and Weaknesses as a Raider. STR's - I listen, don't talk unless it is important, generally don't fuck up, but hey no ones perfect. Weaknesses are that I am very blunt cause I don't got the time for bullshit.

Insomniac's Raid Group

This is Silly Hats Only's second raid group. This is a raid group designed for those individuals who, due to real life issues cannot commit to a normal weeknight raid schedule. Most of us are casual, skilled players who enjoy seeing endgame content on our own time, while avoiding spending 20 plus hours a week to do so.

Raid Schedule

Monday - 10:00PM - 1:00AM Server Time
Tuesday - 10:00PM - 1:00AM Server Time
Wednesday - 10:00PM - 1:00AM Server Time
This puts us currently at about 9 hours a week.

Expectations
------------

-AUTHENTICATOR REQUIRED
-Commitment to Current Raid Times.
-Understanding of Your Class Role in Raids.
-Preparedness for Raids (Consumables, Repaired, Flasks)
-Decent Gear, Preferably Heroics or Better.
-Understanding of the Encounters (Boss Fights).
-Great attitude.

What to Expect
---------------
We are only looking for people who enjoy raiding and aren't dbags. Loot whores/sluts stay the hell away or you will get punched in the vagina.

Note, if you are currently specced for PVP and logged out in that respective set, please list out your PVE gear and spec as an armory link doesn't help us any.

Tuesday is a farm day that we are going to be using to down the beginning bosses at the start of the raid week. If you are invited to a trial, this will be your trial night.

Expectations of Raiders
- Be on time (To be early is to be on time, to be on time is to be late, and to be late is to be left behind!)
- Come with Flasks/Consumables
- Have appropriate Enchants on your gear
- Have appropriate Gems in your gear
- Have an excellent grasp of your class/spec
- Have a strong understanding of each fight (This can be obtained by reading forums, reading strats, watching videos, etc.)
- Have an excellent understanding of your responsibilities during said fights. If you have questions about the upcoming fights, talk with someone about it BEFORE the raid, not DURING!!! Wasting time in this manner is UNACCEPTABLE!

When things go wrong, we don't want to hear excuses; but rather ideas on how to avoid the problem(s) in the future. (Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.)

If you cannot make all three raid days consistently, do not apply.
If you spend less than 5 minutes on an application, it will be rejected.
If you use any kind of 1337 speak or abbreviations in your application or trial, we will ignore you.
